About The Canada Expedition
The Canada Expedition is, as its name suggests, a search. We are on a journey to become part of the vanguard of creators, designers, thinkers and innovators who are ushering in the new frontier of sustainability. We believe that sustainability as a strategy can become the method through which we transform all aspects of social living. There is an urgency to make sustainable our impact on the climate and ecosystems as well as to make sustainable the structures, values and systems which we uphold to protect, foster and elevate human security.
Sustainability to us means good education, clean water, clean air, meaningful employment, a healthy economy and peaceful living. Our mission is to search, with the passion of an expeditionary, for the practical solutions to a humanity which is characterized by these things, a sustainable humanity.

As a group, we prize collaboration. Our open minded search for practical solutions is the cornerstone of our methodology, which is to remain in a perpetual state of exploration. As an expeditionary force, we believe that this openness will allow for the diverse and progressive range of solutions to present themselves. We have given ourselves the task of searching, seeing no shorter path to discovery. The Canada Expedition is based upon the notion that real practical solutions for sustainability are presenting themselves, and fast. We want to spread those solutions and help them become implemented measures to increase the gains of humanity overall. Sustainability is rapidly transforming our perspective, our intentions and our methods across sectors from technology to education.
The Canada Expedition is prepared to champion the cause of innovators and to provide the kind of knowledge and support to those who wish to become innovators in their communities, their businesses and their schools. Change is already occurring all around us and we want to enable it, vocalise it and become a leading agent in overcoming the challenge of a sustainable humanity.
Our agenda is to become familiar with those who are already at the frontier of sustainability. The thinkers and advocates who have already accepted the same challenge as The Canada Expedition and who have begun the arduous beginnings of envisioning a sustainable future. We will find these change makers and showcase their work, hoping to act as a conduit between those searching for solutions and the solution-makers.
The Canada Expedition is set to launch its search for the following six months. We hope that for this duration, from March 2010 to August 2010, you will follow us and join in the effort to spread the practical solutions we discover along the way.
